Middle Class Borrower Protection Act of 2023

HB3564, the Middle Class Borrower Protection Act of 2023, rolls back Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) changes to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage fees, reinstating the prior fee structure and restricting future adjustments until a Government Accountability Office report is published. It also prohibits fees based on borrower debt-to-income ratios and extends guarantee fee authority.
